The Bayern Munich captain strained his thigh muscle
during Wednesday's win against CSKA Moscow and adds to Pep Guardiola's
injury worries
Bayern Munich have been struck with yet another injury blow with the news that Philipp Lahm will miss at least two matches.
The Germany skipper was withdrawn after 28 minutes during his side's 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and was replaced by Thiago Alcantara.
Subsequent tests in Munich revealed that he strained his thigh muscle and will sit out the Bundesliga match against Eintracht Braunschweig and the DFB-Pokal Augsburg.
"Bayern must be without captain Philipp Lahm for the next two matches, against Eintracht Braunschweig and Augsburg," a club statement read.
"The 30-year-old was withdrawn in the Champions League game at CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and must miss at least the next two games."
Lahm joins a lengthy injury list at the Allianz Arena, which also includes Bastian Schweinsteiger, Franck Ribery, Claaudio Pizarro, Xherdan Shaqiri and Holger Badstuber.
