The Control and Disciplinary body has levied
sanctions against the reigning Russian Premier League champions in light
of supporters' actions in the October 23 encounter
Uefa has ordered CSKA Moscow to close part of the Arena Khimki for the club's next Champions League fixture after Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure suffered racist abuse from the Russian side's supporters earlier in October.
Toure notified referee Ovidiu Hategan of discriminatory chants coming from fans during last Wednesday's Champions League contest between the two clubs, leading the Russian captial club to release a statement denying such events whilst European football's governing body opened disciplinary proceedings.
The Control and Disciplinary body has now opted to close sector D of the Arena Khimki for CSKA's next home fixture in continental play, against Bayern Munich on November 27.
The decision was announced on Wednesday via Uefa's official website, citing the violation of Article 14 of the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations.
Manchester City currently sit second in Group D on six points behind unblemished leaders Bayern Munich, with CSKA third on three points and Viktoria Plzen bringing up the rear with three straight losses to open the group stage.
