Tevez rejects Juventus responsibility

Tevez rejects Juventus responsibility
The Argentine has pointed out he is not solely in charge of ensuring the club retain their league title and called upon his team-mates to form a collective strength

Carlos Tevez has rejected taking full responsibility for Juventus' fortunes this season and says each player has an equal role in ensuring the club win more silverware.

After defeats to Fiorentina and Real Madrid, the Bianconeri returned to winning ways thanks to goals by Arturo Vidal and Tevez, which saw them beat Genoa 2-0 on Sunday.

However, the Argentina star has rejected taking full responsibility for the success of the side, saying all the players are in charge of the outcome.

"I'm not the leader, they are all leaders here at Juventus," the 29-year-old told Corriere dello Sport.

"I want to help this team in any way, thus they can form a collective and grow.

"If Juventus do not win, it is said we are in a crisis. This time we put in the right intensity, and when we play like that we can cause problems to anyone.

"After the game against Fiorentina we have given the right responses especially in the first half. We played as Conte always asks us to do.

Third-placed Juve are currently five points behind leaders Roma, but Tevez feels it is too early to be worried about the capital club possibly losing their crown to a rejuventated Giallorossi.

"We are calm, the road is still very long, there are still many matches to play until the end of the season."
