The in-form Tottenham striker has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season and has subsequently been named in the Three Lions' squad for games against Lithuania and Italy

Harry Kane has expressed his delight at receiving his first England call-up ahead of games against Lithuania and Italy.

Manager Roy Hodgson named his 26-man squad for the upcoming fixtures on Thursday, with Kane picked alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck.

The striker, who has scored 26 goals in all competitions thus far in 2014-15, subsequently took to Twitter upon learning of his call-up, writing: "Huge honour to be called up to the England squad! Very proud day for me and my family! Thank you all for the kind messages!"



Kane, who has enjoyed a superb season to date, has scored for England at four different youth levels, between Under-17 and Under-21.

England face Lithuania in a Euro 2016 qualifier on March 27, before taking on Italy in a friendly on March
