Whet your appetite for the return of Europe's top
competition this week by watching Schalke's young star score a brilliant
goal in his side's 4-3 victory over Real Madrid
Leroy Sane's sensational strike for Schalke against Real Madrid has been named the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan.
The 19-year-old German saw off competition from Carlos Tevez, Vincent Aboubakar, Thiago Silva and Casemiro to win the award for the best goal of the last-16 second-leg matches.
Schalke had it all to do against the defending champions after losing the first leg 2-0 at home but nearly pulled off one of the biggest shocks in the Champions League's recent history at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Christian Fuchs and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored to give Madrid an early scare but Cristiano Ronaldo replied to each goal to keep Schalke at bay.
When Karim Benzema hit the target early in the second half the tie seemed to be over but Sane curled in a brilliant third goal for Roberto Di Matteo's side five minutes later.
And Huntelaar scored again late on to leave Madrid clinging on in the dying minutes to secure a place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Atletico Madrid.
