I want to win the Ballon d'Or - Niang

I want to win the Ballon d'Or - Niang
The striker, who is on loan at Genoa from AC Milan, says he dreams of becoming one of the best players in the world and insists he has been unlucky at San Siro

AC Milan attacker M'Baye Niang is not likely to be among the frontrunners to win the Ballon d'Or any time soon but that hasn't stopped him from dreaming of one day becoming the best player in the world.

The 20-year-old made eight appearances for Milan last season and failed to score a single goal, with coach Filippo Inzaghi sending him out on loan to Genoa at the start of 2015, where he has found the back of the net twice in five games so far.

The France Under-21 international maintains that he was unlucky at San Siro last season and retains a remarkable self belief after revealing his ultimate goal is to lift the Ballon d'Or, claiming he will leave no stone unturned in his quest to win football's greatest individual prize.

"At AC Milan I have had no luck," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I do not get distracted though.

"I will work to become a champion. My dream is to win the Ballon d'Or. I will do everything to succeed and if I will stop halfway, well I will have tried it anyway."
