Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich complete the most passes on average in Europe, with the French champions leading the Huawei Team Ranking ahead of the Catalans and the Bundesliga side in third.  

Laurent Blanc’s men have completed an impressive 88.33 per cent of their attempted exchanges so far in 2014-15, making 645.96 passes per game on average after 25 matches.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have been nearly as tidy on the ball as the French side, completing 88.16 per cent of their 15,990 passes in 23 games so far.

Bayern are not far off in the final podium spot as the Allianz Arena side have completed 87 per cent of their 15,433 passes in total in 21 matches this Bundesliga campaign. 

Roma are in fourth spot with a passing accuracy of 86.20 per cent after 23 Serie A outings, while Champions League holders Real Madrid are right on their tail in fifth place with a completion rate of 86.17 per cent.

Juventus (85.02 per cent completion), Manchester City (84.83), Manchester United (84.65), Olympique de Marseille (84.27) and Chelsea (84.22) are all within touching distance of each other to complete the top 10. 

At the bottom end of the ranking, Ligue 1 side Metz are less accurate than any other team in Europe’s five major leagues, completing just 66.07 per cent of their passes so far in 2014-15.

Finally, Eibar (66.71 pass completion), Werder Bremen (67.80), Crystal Palace (68.82) and Chievo (71.47) are the teams with the worst success rate in Spain, Germany, England and Italy respectively.
