Ibrahimovic: Paris should replace Eiffel Tower with a Zlatan statue
The attacker feels honoured to have been immortalised at the Musee Grevin and now dreams of an even more prominent role in the French capital

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joked that Paris should replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of him.

The renowned Musee Grevin unveiled a wax statue of Ibrahimovic on Monday, becoming only the second foreign footballer after Pele to be immortalised at the Parisian museum, and the Sweden international is already dreaming of going a step further as he hopes to tower over the French capital one day.

"It's an incredible feeling to get a statue at the Musee Grevin," the 33-year-old told RMC.

"The statue looks very focused, just like myself out there on the pitch. I can only be grateful for the fantastic job done. I am very proud to get this sort of recognition, especially as a Swede.

"It's a big honour to have a statue in a great museum like the Grevin. I am very happy with it. The people can get really close to the statue and that was the objective.

"The next step? I don't know... Maybe replacing the Eiffel Tower with an Ibrahimovic statue..."

Ibrahimovic has developed into a key figure at PSG since joining the club from AC Milan in 2012, helping them to back-to-back Ligue 1 titles. He has scored 16 goals in 23 games in all competitions this term.
