to be a jibe towards the official
Mario Balotelli appeared to have a subtle swipe towards referee Paolo Mazzoleni on Twitter, following AC Milan’s 1-0 defeat to Inter in the Derby della Madonnina.
Rodrigo Palacio’s 86th-minute strike consigned the Rossoneri to their sixth league defeat of the season and Balotelli wasted little time in taking to the social network to express his feelings.
The forward was thwarted by his former club but, despite failing to convert a number of chances, Balotelli clearly felt the referee had a part to play in his side’s loss at San Siro.
The 23-year-old took to the field wearing yet another pair of eye-catching footwear. After wearing boots covered in newspaper headlines referencing himself last week he donned new 'Why Always Puma?' boots for the first time on Sunday.
Milan find themselves down in 13th place in the Serie A standings and 12 points behind their city rivals Inter, who sit in 5th. The Rossoneri play their next game at home to Atalanta on January 6.
