Roma have a team of magicians, says Garcia

Roma have a team of magicians, says Garcia

The Giallorossi have made the best start to a Serie A season following a 1-0 victory over Chievo and the Frenchman waxed lyrical about his side

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has hailed his squad's individual quality in the wake of their 10th consecutive Serie A victory as they beat Chievo 1-0 to maintain their 100 per cent record.

The Giallorossi have been in sublime form so far this campaign and a single Marco Borriello goal saw them grab three points at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday evening, much to the delight of Garcia.

"People are saying there are magicians that help us win? I have all the magicians right here, from the goalkeeper to the captain," the Frenchman said at a press conference.

"I have a magic roster, and on Thursday as well we saw the strength of this team. Everyone here wants to win and play well on the field. That’s the real magic."
Roma were minus talisman Francesco Totti and former Arsenal attacker Gervinho for the clash against the Flying Donkeys as both were sidelined through injury.
However, Garcia was relieved they grinded out a result against a resilient Chievo side, who remain bottom of Serie A,
"At the moment we have few options on the bench in attack, but the important thing at the end of the day is to win," Garcia continued.
"We brought the points home and it was important to make it 10 out of 10, as we saw yesterday Juventus and Napoli won while Inter and Fiorentina did not.

"This is a fantastic streak for us, but we don’t have time to enjoy it too much and we have one day less than Torino to prepare for Sunday’s match, so every minute is important to recover and prepare."

Roma currently hold a five-point lead over Napoli and Juventus.
