It may have been a bitterly cold night across Europe but the Champions League never fails to warm the hearts of football fans throughout the world.

This was once again evident on a wintery Wednesday night on which Bayern Munich made light of inclement weather conditions in Moscow to rack up a record 10th successive victory in the game's premier club cup competition.
