Conte: Juventus cannot afford to slip up
44-year-old has urged his men to remain focused as they prepare for Sunday's home game against Udinese in Serie A

Antonio Conte has stressed that Juventus cannot afford to slip up if they are to win silverware this term because of Roma's impressive performances so far in 2013-14.

The reigning champions leapfrogged the Giallorossi in the Serie A table last week following their 2-0 win over Livorno and Roma's draw versus Cagliari.

However, Conte has made it clear that Juve must remain focused ahead of this weekend's clash with Udinese.

"Juventus and Roma have both been in impressive form this season. That's why we must remain focused and cannot afford to slip up," the successful coach said at a press conference.

"We know it will be difficult to maintain top spot. Whoever faces us always play the game of their lives.

"We know how Udinese play. [Francesco] Guidolin has worked miracles over the past few years, getting them into the Champions League and Europa League.

"Udinese have excellent, quick counter-attacking players and we’ll need to be on our guard. I don’t think it will be an easy game."

Juventus currently hold a one-point lead over second-placed Roma, with Udinese sitting joint ninth in the table.
