'Roma in Scudetto running' - Bradley

The 26-year-old is convinced that the Giallorossi have played their way into contention ahead of potentially making history in Italy's top flight

Michael Bradley is adamant that high-flying Roma are among the teams who could be crowned Serie A champions this season.

Victory over Chievo on Thursday will see Rudi Garcia's men become the first team in the history of the Italian top flight to win their opening 10 fixtures of the campaign and Bradley is convinced that the Giallorossi are firmly in contention for Scudetto glory.

"Chievo are always tough to face and I know the mentality they will have at the Olimpico, seeing as I played for them two years ago," the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.

"Looking at the results I’d say Juventus and Napoli are favourites for the Scudetto.

"There's also Inter and Fiorentina, while let’s not forget AC Milan. After nine gameweeks it’s all open, so let’s just wait before deciding upon an outright favourite.

"After this streak of results Roma are in the running for the Scudetto, but we’ll have to see where we are at the end of the season."

The 26-year-old played a part in extending Rudi Garcia's side's winning streak to nine games on Sunday, having hit the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Udinese.

Thursday's encounter in the Italian capital is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.
