The Frenchman is a doubt for Bayern Munich's midweek
match after missing out on the Bavarians' clash with Mainz, when Dante
is ruled out for two weeks
Bayern Munich have revealed that winger Franck Ribery and Dante are doubts for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday.
Ribery, 30, has been a key part of Pep Guardiola's side this season but did not feature against Mainz on Saturday after the club's press officer Markus Horwick confirmed the Frenchman is struggling with his fitness.
"Bayern are without Ribery today!" he wrote on the Bavarians' official Twitter. "Franck has a laceration of the capsule in the ankle.
"It's possible he will play on Wednesday in Champions League [but we don't know yet]."
The club also announced that defender Dante picked up a cut on his left ankle, which according to the statement had to be stitched up.
The Brazil international is expected to be out for a fortnight, meaning he will definitely miss the first Champions league clash with Plzen this midweek.
