Belhanda still dreams of Premier League move

Belhanda still dreams of Premier League move

The former Montpellier midfielder, heavily linked with several English clubs before joining Dynamo Kiev last summer, insists he remains open to a move to these shores

Morocco international Younes Belhanda insists he is still keen on a move to the Premier League despite joining Dynamo Kiev in the summer.

Belhanda had been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa before eventually deciding on a move to the Ukrainian giants.

But while the former Montpellier midfielder admits he is happy in Ukraine, he has not ruled out a potential move to England in the future.

"For now, all is well [in Ukraine]," he told Beln Sport. "The adjustment period was a bit tricky with the language and the country change, as I had been ten years before at Montpellier.
"I was in my cocoon and I needed a new motivation to move ahead.

"I did not have other contacts [with other clubs] last summer. When I got the call from the President of Kiev, he wanted to meet me at Monaco.
"As soon as he introduced me to his project, I didn't hesitate. I signed without complexes.

"My dream is to play in England, but maybe I did not do the right thing last year to attract big clubs.

"The Kiev coach put me directly in as No. 10. He recruited me for this. He told me that we had to do better than last year."
Belhanda has scored five goals in 10 Ukrainian Premier League appearances for Dynamo this season.
