The club president insists his side "must not mourn"
their current abysmal run of form which has seen them earn just 12
points from 11 games
Olympique Lyonnais owner Jean-Michel Aulas has urged supporters to focus on the positives of his side's transitional period despite their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Monaco on Sunday.
Les Gones slipped to 14th place in Ligue 1 after the loss at Stade Louis II, with just 12 points from their first 11 encounters in 2013-14, but Aulas insists there were encouraging signs in the second half of the clash with Claudio Ranieri's side.
"We encountered a very good team and we realized that we progressed very strongly," he told reporters after the match.
"We did not have much success in the first half and conceded two goals.
"The second made me very happy. We had just two very clear chances in the first.
"In the second we created a lot of chances and could have come back.
"There is a tactical system that is beginning to change. We must remember the positives and build on them.
"We must not mourn in this period."
Lyon will host Guingamp on Saturday as they search for their first league win since September 13.
