suggestions that they were ready to switch coaches
Daniele Bonera feels AC Milan have made the right decision to stick with Massimiliano Allegri as the club's head coach.
Silvio Berlusconi supposedly considered dismissing the 45-year-old after their third-place finish this season, but eventually opted to hold on to Allegri after a meeting with club CEO Adriano Galliani and the coach himself at the weekend, much to the satisfaction of Bonera.
"Obviously I am very happy with the final decision to stick with Allegri," the experienced defender told Milan Channel.
"I can only base my ideas on the great experience of the president and of Galliani because both have never put a foot wrong in these last 30 years.
"These are choices made by the club, but if I have to give you my own personal opinion then I am happy with the decision made and I am sure they had their reasons to make the decision they did."
Allegri has been in charge of Milan since the summer of 2010 and has since guided them to one Serie A title and three consecutive top-3 finishes.
