The Serie A champions have confirmed that they have permanently secured the services of the Italy international

Juventus have announced they have completed the signing of Federico Peluso from Atalanta for a transfer fee of €4.8 million.

The 29-year-old spent the second half of the 2012-13 campaign on loan at the Bianconeri and has done enough to earn himself a permanent transfer and a contract until June 2017..

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the exercising of the definitive acquisition right for the player Federico Peluso from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio S.p.A. for a fee of €4.8 million that will be paid over two financial years," a statement on the club's official website reads.

"This acquisition will generate economic and financial effects starting from 1 July 2013. The employment contract signed by the player will last until 30 June 2017."

Peluso is a product of the Lazio youth academy, but never made it into the first team at the Stadio Olimpico side.

The left-back, who has been capped at senior level for Italy, wore the jerseys of Pro Vercelli, Ternana and AlbinoLeffe before joining Atalanta in 2009.
