Callejon rubbishes exit rumours

Jose Callejon insists he will not leave Real Madrid this summer
The forward insists he intends to see out his current contract at Santiago Bernabeu despite being restricted to a bit-part role last season

Jose Callejon has rubbished speculation linking him with a move away from Real Madrid this summer.

The Spanish forward has been touted as a possible makeweight in potential offers for Luis Suarez and Isco, but he insists his intention is to see out his current contract at Santiago Bernabeu despite being restricted to a substitute role for much of last season.

"I never said I want to go. I want to stay and win titles with Real Madrid. I have a contract until 2015, that says it all," the 26-year-old was quoted as saying by EFE.

The former Espanyol man admitted, however, that this season had not gone to plan and regretted missing the opportunity to lift a title.

"It has been sad not to obtain trophy this season, a pity, but football is like that," he added.

Callejon scored six goals in 40 appearances last season, including a strike on the final day of the campaign against Osasuna.
