Terry accepts Rafa's rotation policy

The Chelsea skipper assures fans that he is still happy to be at the club, despite his game time being reduced since the ex-Liverpool boss' appointment

Chelsea captain John Terry has reaffirmed his love of the club and insisted that he accepts Rafael Benitez's rotation policy.

The defender's fitness and ability have been questioned by the Blues boss - who has often preferred Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic - but the former England international believes that he can still play three games a week if needed.

Terry told The Times of India: "I accept the rotation system completely.

"I can definitely play twice a week, three games a week if need be. I don't know where that arose from. I'm fit, I'm training every day and have been for the last three months, so I just want to set the record straight.

"I'm available but, at the same time, if the manager chooses not to pick me and decides to go with the others, there is not a problem because I'm Chelsea through and through."

Terry has called for the club's focus to shift back to the Premier League following their beating of Basel on Thursday, which secured a spot in the Europa League final.

He added: "We have to refocus our attention on the league campaign. We've got two massive games; Manchester United first on Sunday and then Tottenham at home next Wednesday.

"It's a tough schedule but we are building momentum going into the final weeks of the season now and that's important. We have to make sure of a place in the top four at the very least."
