Barcelona have named defender Eric Abidal in the squad for this weekend's Liga game with Celta Vigo.
The 33-year-old, who has not played a competitive game for the side since February 2012, could be in line to feature for the Blaugrana on Saturday following a busy international break for the majority of his team-mates.
Abidal, who underwent a liver transplant in April of last year, recently returned to action with the reserve side in a friendly match against Ligue 2 side Istres.
Abidal's Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano has expressed his delight at his return from illness, taking to his twitter account to post a picture of himself with his team-mate along with the caption: "He is back. Congratulations Abi."
Barcelona currently lead La Liga by 13 points over Real Madrid, and victory over Celta Vigo would represent a huge step towards the 22nd league title in their history.
