Neymar's father lets Barca secret slip

  • Neymar's father has reportedly let slip that his Santos starlet son will only join Barcelona when the time comes for him to leave Brazil.

A report in Le 10 Sport claims Neymar Snr. met with club officials on Friday in order to seal a one-year contract extension to ensure the Campeonato club maximises its return when the forward is ultimately sold. During the meeting, it is said Neymar's father claimed the Brazil international will no longer consider offers from Real Madrid, Chelsea or Bayern Munich, declaring his future lies with the current Liga leaders.

Still on in-demand strikers, Atletico Madrid marksman Radamel Falcao may be destined for the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester City increasing their chase for the Colombia international.

The Daily Star insists the Blues have edged ahead of the English rivals, with negotiations between Chelsea and Atletico now at an advanced stage. The final deal - which has been over a year in the making according to some experts - will be worth somewhere in the region of £40 million all in.

It is claimed by SunSport that Falcao may also be used in a partial swap deal with Fernando Torres, who is more than welcome to return to his old club, manager Diego Simeone has previously stated.

Arsenal loanee Denilson is on the verge of leaving Sao Paulo, reports in Brazil suggest. The former Under-20 national team skipper has spent the past two seasons in his homeland but after experiencing a disappointing 2013, club president Juvenal Juvencio is considering allowing the midfielder to leave.

Sao Paulo are expected to have too many midfielders on their books next season, when Casemiro returns from a loan spell with Real Madrid Castilla in July, leaving Denilson's club future up in the air.

In the managerial world, Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has a £10 million price tag on his head, The Sun claims. Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with the Dane in the past, but this significant buy-out clause - inserted into his new contract this month - may scupper any potential move to one of Europe's elite.
